El Rincon Tolteca was born from a simple conviction: that the rituals of Mexican coffee and agave culture deserve a space where they can be taken seriously — and celebrated loudly.

Our name references the Toltec civilization, master builders and spiritual practitioners whose understanding of fermentation, roasting, and communal gathering shaped Mesoamerican life for centuries. We draw from that legacy not through imitation, but through respect — sourcing beans from family farms in southern Mexico, working with third-generation mezcaleros in Oaxaca, and designing a space where every detail invites you to slow down.

Located on Eastern Avenue in Los Angeles, we've created a corner where the morning pour-over crowd and the evening mezcal flight share the same room — because the rituals of coffee and cocktails are, at their core, the same ritual: hospitality, craft, and the willingness to be present.
